Hey there,
I hope you and your family are well, and you had a great weekend!
How are you spending your days?
The days seem to be flying by so fast, I’ve heard the saying that when you’re 10 the time goes by at 10 miles/hr, the 20s at 20 miles/hr, 30s at 30 miles/hr…….well you get the picture, and boy am I seeing these days race by (side note, most of you know how fast my days are flying:-). With that being said we really need to work on making our days count, based on some of your suggestions in the past weeks I’ve been trying harder to keep up with my meditation, in addition to the inspirational podcasts that I’ve listened to over the years. One recent podcast suggested living each day like it’s your last and we’ve heard this before as having a “bucket list”. I understand that this might seem a bit morbid and based on the current state we are all in, how much can we get done on this bucket list without counting the days until the restrictions are lifted? Well, as per the quote above I’m trying my hardest not to count the days but to make them count. Over the last few days despite my severe spring allergy (hopped up on meds) I’ve been to Hop Brook Park, continue walks in our community with the dog and spend a lot of time in our backyard. Not only did I try to make the days count I’ve finally started to work on the details of what the studio will “look” like when we are allowed to reopen. Currently, it might not seem like we can do a lot to make the days count but guess what we are being given this opportunity to reset and be together more than we were ever able to before. Yes, we want to have our “me” time but we have this opportunity as well to have our children, pets, spouse and loved ones close by to quickly say to them let’s go for a walk, cook together, have a glass of wine or mocktail early because there is no commute after work. Now that some of us don’t have a commute to work, do you know how much we can get done in that time? You can finally watch our YouTube videos and get a workout, join us after work for barre or just do what moves you. Are you making the days count?

I’ve never spent this much time in my yard, but despite the sneezing, itchy nose and watery eyes, I spent all afternoon grilling with my family which gave our doggy the best day of his life. Those of you with pets know when they are happy, they literally have a smile on their faces, he slept all evening into the night. Let’s not just count the days until this is over, but make our days count, by doing the things that feed our soul, bring joy to our lives and give us the strength to move on to the next wonderful day.
We’re still making those carrot cakes but I’ve also started juicing and I’ve found this wonderful morning energizer that has 1 apple, 5 carrots, 1 beetroot, a piece of ginger and 1/2 a lemon (peeled if not organic). I’ve been having 1 glass for breakfast most mornings. I hope you like it as much as I do, enjoy!
