Every January, I feel it too — the pressure to start over.
Harder. Faster. Better.
It floods our inboxes, our feeds, and our conversations. Gym ads ramp up. Challenges appear overnight. And the message is almost always the same:
Change everything.
But I want to offer you something different.
At SPYNE Pilates Studio, wellness has never been about becoming a completely new version of yourself. It’s about reconnecting with the woman who’s already here, strong, capable, and deserving of care that actually lasts.
So instead of pushing harder this year, I’m inviting you to begin from a place of presence, not pressure.
Let’s talk about what wellness really means.
Forget the quick fix — here’s how I see wellness
Wellness has become a buzzword.
Sometimes it’s marketed as green juice, early alarms, or grinding through workouts you secretly dread.
That’s not my definition.
To me, wellness looks like:
• Feeling connected to your body again
• Moving in ways that support your energy, not drain it
• Choosing consistency over perfection
• Honouring what you need in this season of life
• Building routines that still feel good in February… and beyond
Wellness isn’t about punishing your body for what you didn’t do last year.
It’s about caring for it so it can carry you through this year with strength, ease, and confidence.
Why Pilates supports real, sustainable wellness
One of the reasons I love Pilates — and why I’ve dedicated my work to it — is that it meets you exactly where you are.
Whether you’re rebuilding strength, managing stress, improving posture, or simply wanting to move more intentionally, Pilates adapts to you.
It supports:
• Deep core strength and stability
• A stronger mind-body connection through breath and awareness
• Mobility and flexibility without high-impact strain
• Nervous system regulation (especially important in busy seasons)
• Long-term movement you can return to year after year
And most importantly — it supports consistency.
You don’t need to go hard to see results.
You just need to keep showing up.
This year, I’m choosing consistency over perfection, and I hope you will too
Here’s the truth I see play out in the studio every single year:
It’s not the women who push the hardest in January who experience the biggest change.
It’s the women who keep coming back in February, March, and beyond.
You don’t need perfection to make progress.
You just need one class. One breath. One moment of choosing yourself.
That’s enough.
How to gently reset your routine (without overwhelm)
If you’re not sure where to start, you don’t need to do it all at once.
Try this:
• Choose two anchor days per week for movement (Monday+Thursday or Tuesday + Friday etc.)
• Pick classes that match your current energy — not an “ideal” version of you
• Prioritise recovery as much as activity (rest is productive), you need this, and you know who you are
• Ask for support — we’re here to guide, modify, and meet you where you are
• Celebrate small wins — showing up counts
Wellness isn’t a destination.
It’s a relationship you build with your body over time, with care.

Let’s redefine success together
Wellness isn’t about the “after” photo.
It’s not about checking boxes or comparing your journey to anyone else’s.
It’s about how you feel when you walk out of class. (A client just told me how much stronger she feels after 2 months of attending classes)
Breathing a little deeper.
Standing a little taller.
Trusting your body again.
This year, I’m letting go of perfection (I’m even going to try and not use the word while I’m teaching, that’s going to be hard) and choosing the strength it takes to keep showing up.
I’d love to support you in that.
With care,
Simone 💚
